Installation and Removal Instructions

Remove the 9 - M2.5 x 6mm screws.
Step 1
Remove the 9 - M2.5 x 6mm screws.
Carefully pry up and unsnap the bottom cover.

Remove the Bottom Cover.

Remove the 3 - M2.5 x 3mm screws.

Remove the 3 - M2.5 x 3mm screws.
Unplug & loosen the hard drive cable.
Remove the 3 - M2.5 x 3mm screws.Unplug & loosen the hard drive cable.
Remove the Battery.

Unplug the cable, loosen the tape, and remove the Power & Volume Circuit Board.

Unplug the fan cable.

Loosen the heatsink screws.
Remove the Heatsink Fan. ***Clean the heatsink and reapply thermal compound before installing the heatsink.***

Loosen the tape.

Remove the 2 - M2 x 3mm screws.
Lift the caddy out of the laptop.

Unplug the wireless antenna cables.
Step 8
Unplug the wireless antenna cables.
Unplug the daughter board cable.
Remove the 1 - M2.5 x 3mm screw.
Remove the Daughter Board.

Remove the 2 - M2 x 3mm screws.
Step 9
Remove the 2 - M2 x 3mm screws.
Remove the LCD Cable bracket.
Remove the 2 - M2 x 3mm screws.Remove the LCD Cable bracket.
Unplug the display cable.
Step 10
Unplug the display cable.
Unplug the touchscreen cable.

Open the screen and lay the laptop flat.

Remove the 1 - M2.5 x 5mm right hinge screw.
Remove the 1 - M2.5 x 5mm left hinge screw.
Remove the LCD Display Assembly.
Open the screen and lay the laptop flat.Remove the 1 - M2.5 x 5mm right hinge screw.Remove the 1 - M2.5 x 5mm left hinge screw.
Unplug the keyboard cable.
Step 12
Unplug the keyboard cable.
Unplug the touchpad cable.
Unplug the speaker cable.

Loosen the tape.

Remove the Speaker.

Unplug the DC Jack.

Unplug the DC Jack.
Remove the 1 - M2 x 2mm Wafer screw.
Remove the Motherboard.
Unplug the DC Jack.Remove the 1 - M2 x 2mm Wafer screw.Remove the Motherboard.
Remove the 1 - M2 x 3mm screw.
Step 15
Remove the 1 - M2 x 3mm screw.
Peel back the tape.
Remove the DC Jack.
Remove the 1 - M2 x 3mm screw.Peel back the tape. Remove the DC Jack.
The remaining piece is the Palmrest Keyboard.
